Lady Gagita has released a statement following the accusations of sexual abuse, debunking that she kissed another drag performer without consent.
Speaking out on her side of the story, Muning/Moonlight accused the drag performer of repeatedly kissing her without consent while she was working under the Drag Den alum.
In a post she made on her Facebook page, Lady Gagita stated that she has already “exerted the effort to reach out to Moonlight”, but there was no response. She is now speaking about this publicly to tell her own story.
The incident occurred sometime in 2021, when she was 26 years old and the one who made the allegation was 19, which, according to Lady Gagita’s accounts, was consensual.
“While I might have initiated the kiss, I distinctly remember Moonlight kissed me back because it wasn’t a quick kiss and he reciprocated or accepted my initiation,” she continued.
Lady Gagita also mentioned that the seamstress witnessed what really happened.
“I did not take advantage and vehemently deny committing any sexual abuse or sexual assault upon this person,” Lady Gagita said. “Sexual abuse or assault is a big accusation. Never in my whole life could I imagine of doing such a thing. I do not condone it and I did not commit it.”
The drag performer added if the accuser wants to deal with the issue amicably, she is more than willing to talk things out.
Social media users then took to social media to express their thoughts on the allegations against Lady Gagita.
One user wrote, “imagine reliving your trauma just to be invalidated by the same person who caused it! it’s already terrifying for victims to speak out, then you call them a liar? lady gagita, you’re on another level of evil. i hope you burn in hell for what you did.”
Another user wrote, “Nakakapanginig ng laman punyeta! The guts na kausapin nila ang magulang Ng victim at Sabihin na Hindi totoo ang nangyari, na nakiki-trend lang? Na sana kung may ganoong nangyari matagal na nagsalita..? HINARAP MO ANG MAGULANG NG HINALAY MO AT BALIKTARIN PA ANG SITWASYON. TNGINA MO [It’s heartbreaking! The guts for them to talk to the victim’s parents and say that what happened is not true, that it’s just trending? That if something like that happened could have already spoken..? YOU CONFRONTED THE PARENTS OF YOUR SUSPECT AND EVEN REVERSED THE SITUATION. F—K YOU]!”
A third user wrote, “Wala ka talagang remorse sa katawan ano LADY GAGITA [You really have no remorse on your body, do you, LADY GAGITA]?”
Muning/Moonlight has not yet responded to the statement that Lady Gagita has issued.
As of this writing, the drag performer has since limited the comments of her statement on Facebook and made her X (formerly Twitter) account private.
